Machine Building Systems will be showing the Elcom range of modular, flat belt conveyors, which have different styles of side guides and choice of drive motor type and position. The popular elcom range of flat-belt conveyors has been extended with the introduction of the new Flat-Belt Conveyor 90.

This new product is available in five different widths from 500mm to 1000mm and comes with a larger, 90mm diameter steel pulley with roller bearings, making it suitable for heavy or bulky items. Machine Building Systems will be showing the Elcom range of modular, flat belt conveyors at the UK's Interplas 2008 exhibition on Stand D254.

The smart modular conveyors are based around Item aluminium extrusions and are available in widths from 20mm to 1000mm and lengths of up to 6m. A choice of belt types is available, with a durable PVC belt fitted as standard, as is a stainless-steel skid-plate.

Side-guides of different styles are available, as is a choice of drive motor type and positioning. Power is provided through an end-mounted three-phase geared motor, which can provide linear speeds of between 4m/min. and 24 m/min.. An inverter or mechanical variator can be supplied if required to provide variable speed.

These conveyors are constructed using modular components, with item aluminium extrusions a key component, allowing bespoke lengths of between 500mm and 6m to be achieved at very modest cost. Support stands can be provided, again using the item MB construction system. These can be a basic stand-alone design, or something more elaborate - perhaps enabling easy integration into production machinery.

These and the existing range of smaller and lighter-duty, Elcom flat-belt conveyors are available with short delivery times.
