The problem with using elastic urethane belting in the food industry is that a broken belt that falls on a food conveyor cannot be detected with metal detectors, so it can get packaged with the food. Our new Metal Detectable belts, made from round, food grade urethane, solve this problem. Although our Super Strong Welds should virtually eliminate the possibility of a belt breaking at the weld, if for some reason our metal detectable belts should break or be cut, they will be easily detected by metal detectors. In fact, in tests the detector was set off by our belt well before it entered the detector tunnel. * Available in round 3/16\", 1/4\", 5/16\", 3/8\", 7/16\", 1/2\", 9/16\" and 5/8\" diameter. * Food grade USDA/FDA approved. * 85A durometer in clear, orange or yellow color. * 92A durometer in vibrant blue color.
