Streamline top-of-rail sand traction control with Cyclonaire TrackSider Sanding Systems. We offer the latest in sanding technology to suit light-rail passenger trams, remote branch lines, in-yard service tracks, and high-speed mainline systems. Each TrackSider Sanding System is designed to minimize spotting and filling problems that can slow locomotive servicing and create unsafe work conditions. The Cyclonaire TrackSider line includes the following sanding systems and components: QuickSander System QuickSanders provide fast, clean, and convenient sand dispensing for light rail and passenger tram operations. The compact unit is sized specifically to match the space limitations of light rail depots. The slender QuickSander tower measures just 18 inches in diameter to fit on depot platforms, yet it can feed up to four delivery wands and service trams on both sides of a platform simultaneously. Sanding Towers Gravity Sanding Towers offer an economical and traditional means of sanding. Sanding towers are designed for service tracks and smaller rail yards. They come with one or two sanding arms that can service two tracks simultaneously. SandMaster System The ground-based service track, single-position sanding station delivers traction sand pneumatically directly to the locomotive sandbox. The equipment delivers sand through a single or optional dual sanding wand. With two wands, the fore and aft boxes can be serviced without moving the locomotive. Mainliner System The high-performance Mainliner services the fore and aft sandboxes of up to four locomotives on one track and four locomotives on a parallel track simultaneously. A Cyclonaire DPG-B Dense Phase pneumatic conveyor delivers traction sand from the bulk silo to any of the sanding stations on the platform. Locomotives only need to stop once.
