The Excel Automation light and medium duty EMS use the standard European 180mm deep and 240mm deep extruded aluminium track sections for maximum strength and durability. These popular systems are currently used by many of our customers.

Two types are available:
Overhead, where the load is suspended from the track, and
Inverted, where the load is carried on the track.



Excel\'s ability to design and customise systems to suit individual applications provides its clients with a real choice when specifying assembly systems; whether it is a single rail application with load stabilising rails, or twin rail applications with steering systems.

Single trolley or multi-trolley sets can be selected depending on the load to be conveyed.

EMS Drive motors can be specified with a clutch mechanism. Drive wheels have polyurethane tyres to provide a positive grip and smooth and quiet operation. Spring loaded guide wheels on each trolley ensure that traction is maintained through system inclines and declines up to 45 degrees depending on load type.

Enclosed bus bars provide power to each trolley and earth and control signals. The signals can provide variable speed control of the trolley, enabling maximum speed along straight sections and reduced speeds for bends, switches, inclines and declines. This maintains maximum system efficiency and ensures that every trolley is speed matched to maintain trolley pitches.


We have vast experience in the supply and modification of overhead and inverted Power and Free conveyors, predominantly the 458, 678 and E8 ranges, but also less common ranges.

For turnkey projects we are able to supply a complete package including conveyor system, trolleys, carriers, support steelwork, under-guarding, etc.

We can also supply a full range of ancillary equipment including drop sections, chain-to-chain transfers, expansion joints, etc. Carriers can be supplied to suit most applications, products and loads.
